About Us

With over 55 years of combined experience, MDH & Sons (MDH Constructions Pty Ltd) has built its reputation on quality workmanship, dedication and putting the client first.

We have recently relocated from Sydney to the South Coast where we have been holidaying for over 30 years. Based in Tapitallee and Gerringong we look forward to establishing ourselves in the local and surrounding communities with our hands-on approach to the building requirements in the area.

We are a family-based business having had our two sons complete their apprenticeships and trades with us, and who are now helping to re-establish our business on the South Coast. Over the years we have had the pleasure of working with several apprentices whilst they completed their trades and then they have been able to move onto their own successful careers in the building trade.

Our expertise is in renovations and extensions in the residential market. We have also completed the occasional new build. We are always happy to discuss, assist and work with the client to get the desired outcome for any project we encounter. It is important to us that the build is a positive experience for the client with a positive outcome in the required timeframe from our team.

Mark

Mark is the cornerstone & founding member of our team. He began with a Carpentry apprenticeship with AMP in 1982, progressing to Civil & Civic in 1985.

In 1994 Mark became a sole trader and started managing his own building contracts, then registered his first company – MDH Constructions Pty Ltd, in 2000.

With his vast experience Mark now leads the team and specializes in small to large renovations, additions and occasional new builds.

Grant

Keen to be part of the family business, Grant started his apprenticeship with the Master Builders Association in January 2016.

He has now completed his apprenticeship and holds a Certificate IV in Building Construction.

Grant is now an integral part of the team and manages site co-ordination, quality control and the co-ordination of sub-contractors as required to complete the job.

Stephen

Following in his brother’s footsteps, Stephen was also keen to learn and be a part of the family business and started his apprenticeship with the Master Builders Association in November 2017.

Having completed his apprenticeship and holding a Certificate IV in construction, he is now fast gaining experience on the job with his father and brother. He also assists with the site co-ordination of various projects.

Michelle

As with all family businesses, someone holds the fort in the background and provides the support with all things in administration and book-keeping.

Michelle is a qualified accountant and is proud to bring her skills to the table in the family business.

Over the years working with Mark, and now the boys, Michelle has become an experienced and proficient project manager. She has also been known to be quiet capable on the tools when needed.
